FINALLY! We were able to release our first legitimate and official comic book, after 12 freakin’ years of brainstorming sessions, defying countless misshaps and agonies in life, and one hundred and fifty percent of perseverance, sacrifice and dedication. Before i move on, i would like to thank the Almighty One, GOD, for making us believe in ourselves. To my family, who finally saw how happy and passionate i am for what i do, and for my friends who absolutely believed in us. And a special thanks to AKA Productions, with whom we joined forces with (hopefully, in future projects, as well), to Lucky Me Pancit Canton and UFC catsup, who has been our constant companions up to now (seriously speaking), and to Paolo, my highschool buddy, for all the sacrifice you did for this to happen.. More than a decade, bud! We are going full blast! Again, a million thanks to all of you.
Nearly two weeks ago (Nov. 19 to be exact), we launch our comic book in a local comic convention in the Philippines. Us, named Spanton Productions, were able to snatch a spot to showcase our own releases, along with the 42 other groups. Even though i wasn’t there, i can definitely feel the joy, the excitement and the satisfaction, a thousand miles away from that event. Paolo, who represented our productions, handled everything very well. I can’t also forget the enthusiastic partner of his, Iza, for spending quality time helping promoting our comics. To Daryll, as well, the third man of Spanton, who eagerly joined the bandwagon and expanded our realm. It was satisfying enough for me to know that finally, we did it. Over a decade ago, everything looks bleak. Everything was pitch black. Support wasn’t there at all. We’re only counting on each other’s backs. Those were the challenging times, indeed. But eventually, our loved ones finally saw our joy and passion creating this instruments of entertainment, to showcase the people what we can offer on the table. We’re hoping and praying that one day, expand and reach greater heights (we’re on our way..)
Needless to say, the event was a success. We’re on our way creating the new ones and other new titles that has been floating around our memory tank since 1999. We felt bad for the ideas we let slip away, but fortunately, we gained monumental ground and we’re able to grasp new, fresh ideas to capitalize. And we’re looking forward for more brainstorming sessions for future projects to come.
As our passion burns more than ever before, we promised ourselves to put our best foot forward in making this possible. We take great pride in what we do, and we certainly want the consumers to be satisfied and be a part of their lives with what we do. I, on behalf of the Spanton Productions, will tirelessly create quality products with amazing and mind-blowing stories for all of you to enjoy. In the mean time, we would like to cherish this small, but gratifying achievement we have.
